Senabil Youth and Development Association, through its institutional presence in Türkiye and Palestine, celebrates a new academic achievement that highlights its efforts to support education in emergencies and create safe opportunities for learning and connection for students in the Gaza Strip. An academic article documenting the experience of the Voices Beyond Borders – VBB project has been published under the title: The “Voices Beyond Borders” English-Mediated Intercultural Educational Solidarity Project with Gaza: A Reflective Case Study The article was published in the European Journal of Education & Language Review, Volume 2, Issue 2, on 24 July 2026. The article presents a distinctive educational and humanitarian experience that connected fifteen young women from Gaza with fifteen Chinese English-language teachers studying for an MA in TESOL at The University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. Through paired virtual meetings, intercultural dialogue, written activities, Padlet posts, and final video projects, participants used English as a shared means of expression, relationship-building, storytelling, and communication with the wider world. Senabil played a central role in the local implementation of the project by providing a suitable physical space, electricity, internet access, local facilitation, and continuous follow-up. This support enabled the Gazan participants to continue taking part despite war, displacement, disruption to education, movement restrictions, and unstable access to electricity and communication services. The inclusion of Senabil Youth and Development Association among the institutional affiliations of the published article reflects its role as a local host and facilitator of the initiative. It also demonstrates the importance of educational and humanitarian organisations in Gaza in creating meaningful learning opportunities that protect students’ right to education and provide space for their voices, experiences, and aspirations. We are proud of this achievement, which demonstrates that education can remain a bridge of hope, resilience, solidarity, and human connection, even under the most difficult circumstances. Our sincere appreciation goes to the project team, the participating students, The University of Manchester, and everyone who contributed to the success of this educational and humanitarian experience.
