Al-Sanabel Schools have officially opened the new academic year in the Gaza Strip, demonstrating a firm commitment to continuing their educational mission despite the difficult challenges facing the region. This marks the second academic year for the schools, which comprise three institutions serving more than 10,000 students across various grade levels. Through this opening, Al-Sanabel Foundation reaffirms its dedication to ensuring students’ right to education and to providing a safe learning environment that contributes to building an aware and educated generation capable of shaping the future.
In cooperation with UNICEF, Al-Sanabel Foundation for Youth and Development carried out a comprehensive medical screening for the students of Al-Sanabel Schools. This screening comes in light of the difficult health conditions in the Gaza Strip and the shortage of medical services. It aims to strengthen school healthcare by conducting a set of essential medical examinations, including: Hearing tests Vision tests Motor skills evaluation Early detection of malnutrition cases This initiative reaffirms the foundation’s commitment to safeguarding students’ health and providing a safe and healthy educational environment that supports their ability to learn and grow, despite the harsh challenges faced by the sector.
As part of its commitment to improving education and strengthening collaboration among staff, the Sanabel Youth & Development Foundation held a meeting with Sanabel Schools principals and teaching staff to review plans, activities, and mechanisms to upgrade instructional quality. The discussion covered priorities for the coming period, including better learning environments, active classroom and extracurricular activities, and teacher capacity-building through training programs, alongside enhanced monitoring and evaluation to ensure tangible impact on students. Sanabel reaffirmed its commitment to engaging with the local community and parents, and to providing effective, safe education that meets students’ needs under current conditions.
The Sanabel Youth & Development Foundation is implementing a project to equip the Rapid Treatment Hall in the Emergency Reception Department at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, as part of its ongoing efforts to support the health sector and ease the load on emergency units. The project aims to strengthen triage capacity and accelerate first-line care by providing essential equipment and improving the workspace—helping organize patient flow and reduce waiting times. Sanabel reaffirms its commitment to working with partners to improve service quality and support frontline medical teams, ensuring faster and more efficient access to critical care.
A delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited the Sanabel Youth & Development Foundation this morning to learn more about the organization’s programs and the services it provides to vulnerable communities. The delegation was received by Mr. Bassam Al-Batta, Head of Sanabel’s office in Palestine, along with department directors. The team presented an overview of Sanabel’s work in education, health, relief, and orphan care, as well as youth-focused development projects. ICRC representatives expressed appreciation for Sanabel’s humanitarian role amid the challenging situation in Gaza and discussed opportunities for future partnerships aimed at strengthening humanitarian response and expanding services for the local community. For his part, Sanabel’s Director reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to openness and collaboration with international partners, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts to improve the living conditions of affected families and ensure sustainable, impactful services.
